Changes to Tier 4 policy guidance
The UK Border Agency have published an addendum to their policy guidance for migrants who are applying to study in the UK under Tier 4 of the points-based system. The addendum affects students who have International Baccalaureate qualifications awarded on 5 July 2010, and those who are using a loan letter to support their application.
They have changed the criteria for applicants who use a loan letter to show that they have enough money to meet the Tier 4 maintenance (money) requirements. The change affects the date when the loan funds must be made available to you.
