Change in UK Visa Application Process
The Home Office have started notifying some UK Visa applicants of a change to the application process due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.
UK Visa applicants in the UK have been unable to complete their visa applications due to the closure of application centres where they would usually submit their biometrics. This would usually involve having fingerprints and a photograph taken.
Some applicants in the UK who have previously submitted biometrics as part of their visa applications have been contacted by the Home Office to confirm that they will not be required to attend biometrics appointments.
It is expected that an app will be produced that will allow them to provide a photograph.
The previous app released for EU applications for the EU Settlement Scheme was initially provided only on Android devices.
It is not yet clear when this process might start and how supporting documents will be provided to the Home Office.
